​May 22nd USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Course: This 8-hour course is for anyone considering or currently carrying a firearm for self-defense and is designed for experienced shooters. The course addresses key concepts of conflict avoidance and situational awareness, which are the foundation for developing your own personal protection plan. Training covers: self-defense firearms basics, defensive shooting fundamentals, the physiology of violent encounters, the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath), holsters and other equipment, and shooting skills development. NAFT-LLC uses a combination of laser training devices in the classroom and live-fire on the gun range to teach basic and advanced shooting skills. Students receive USCCA's Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals training manual (a $29.95 value). The range activities require an Everyday Carry (EDC) firearm, your EDC holster, and 200 rounds of ammunition for your firearm. You will also need hearing protection and eye protection, as well as appropriate clothing to include a concealment garment (vest, shirt, or jacket). Almost all our range drills will begin with your firearm in a holstered and concealed position. Students must pass a written open book exam and demonstrate safe firearms handling to receive a USCCA course completion certificate. Course Fee: $185 ($75 deposit). Start Time 8:30 am.

Jun 6-9 USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor Certification Course: This one and a half-day course of instruction is the final step in USCCA's instructor certification process. USCCA employs a blended learning instructor certification curriculum that comprises online eLearning modules followed by in-person classroom and range instruction conduct by a USCCA certified Training Counselor. Next contact USCCA directly at 877-577-4800 to register for the instructor e-Learning modules and instructor tool kit ($250 value). Upon registration, the student will receive information on how to obtain access to the eLearning modules. The instructor tool kit will be shipped approximately two weeks after completing the in-person instruction offered in this course. Instructor candidates must complete the eLearning (at their own pace) a minimum of 3-5 days before attending this course. Jun 12th NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Instructor Led Training: This 8-hour course is for beginners who have not determined the type of pistol they wish to purchase and shooters who want a refresher course. The course covers safe handling, the parts and functions of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition types and uses, shooting fundamentals, care and maintenance, and shooting skills. NAFT provides .22 cal pistols and ammunition for this course. Students receive a Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook and an NRA Certificate upon Completion. Course Fee: $145.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start Time 8:30 am.

Jun 19th NRA Basic of Shotgun Shooting Instructor Led Training: This 10-hour course is a comprehensive introduction to shotguns and clay shooting sports for beginners. The course covers NRA's rules for safe gun handling; various shotgun models design, components, and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; and cleaning a shotgun and includes range time learning to shoot a shotgun at a moving clay target. NAFT will provide shotguns and shells for training, or you are welcome to bring your shotgun. Students will receive the NRA’s Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook and NRA Certificate upon Completion. Course Fee: $155.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start time 8:30 am.

Jun 26th USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1: This 6-hour course uses intuitive teaching methods to provide you with efficient training for the most probable types of self-defense situations. This blended learning curriculum comprises a DSF-L1 online eLearning module and a follow-on session of live-fire exercises on the range. Upon registration, the student will receive information on how to obtain access to the eLearning module and will be shipped the DSF-L1 book. The student must complete the eLearning (at their own pace) before the live-fire course (NOTE: This is an advanced course and potential students should have a good understanding of the legal and moral implications of Concealed Carry). Jul 10th NRA Range Safety Officer: This 9-hour course is for experienced gun handlers who can organize and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations. NRA Range Safety Officers must be 21 years of age or older. The Range Safety Officer course consists of: Range Safety Officer’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings, which include emergency procedures. The course also includes role-playing of simulated range behaviors. Candidates must also receive 90 percent or better on the written exam. Course Fee: $185.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start Time 8:30 am.

Jul 24th NRA Rifle First STEPS Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR): NRA FIRST Steps Rifle a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific rifle action type. This 4 hour(+) course includes classroom and range time learning to safely handle and shoot today's Modern Sporting rifle (ArmaLite Rifle (AR) Platform), also called the AR-15 platform. Students will learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, the MSR rifle model parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, breakdown and cleaning an MSR, and skill development opportunities. Students will receive the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook and other information. Students receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course material. NAFT offers this course using either .22LR rifles (we supply rifles and ammunition) or 5.56mm/.223 MSRs (using NAFT rifles or the student's rifle (with our approval) and student bring or purchase100 rounds of .223 cal. ammunition for the class). Aug 14th NRA Muzzleloading Rifle: This 10+-hour course is for anyone wanting to develop the basic knowledge, skills, & attitude essential to the safe & efficient use of a muzzleloading rifle. The course includes: History of Muzzleloading guns; principle parts of flintlock, percussion, and Inline rifles; safe handling rules for Muzzleloading; black power and approved substitutes; and proper safety procedures for loading and storing power. Students learn to shoot from benchrest, cross sticks, and offhand (standing) positions and how to clean black powder rifles. Students receive a copy of the NRA/NMLRA Muzzleloading handbook and an NRA Certificate upon Completion. NAFT provides Muzzleloading Rifles and other supplies for this course.
