Aug 8th & 14th NRA Basic Instructor Course (BIT): This 6- hour course is designed to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses. It is the NRA class that helps people who already have subject matter expertise learn how to hold a class the NRA way so that their students earn recognized NRA certification. This course teaches you the policies and procedures for becoming an NRA instructor as well as effective teaching methods for training students. Course fee: $125.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start Time 8:30 am.

Aug 15th NRA Pistol Instructor Certification Course: This 10-hour course includes classroom and range time learning to how to teach the sport of shooting pistols, both revolvers, and semi-automatic pistols. Instructor Candidates learn how to teach the NRA's rules for safe gun handling; pistol action types, parts, and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest and isosceles positions; firearm cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Aug 16th NRA Rifle First STEPS Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR): NRA FIRST Steps Rifle is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific rifle action type. This 4 hour(+) course includes classroom and range time learning to safely handle and shoot today's Modern Sporting rifle (ArmaLite Rifle (AR) Platform), also called the AR-15 platform. Students will learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, the MSR rifle model parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, breakdown and cleaning an MSR, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook and other information. Students receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course material. This course is offered using either .22LR rifles (we supply rifles and ammunition) or 5.56mm/.223 MSRs (using NAFT rifles or the student's rifle (with our approval) and student bring or purchase100 rounds of .223 cal. Ammunition for the class). Course Cost: $95 ($40 deposit) Start Time 8:30am.

Aug 22nd USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 2: This 6-hour course builds on the skills and training introduced in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (DSF-L1). This blended learning curriculum and is made up of a DSF-L2 online eLearning module and a follow-on session of live-fire exercises on the range. Please contact Rob Berry (rob@naft-llc.com) to reserve a space in the live-fire course. Please contact USCCA directly at 877-577-4800 to register for the e-Learning module and student packet ($30). Upon registration, the student will receive information on how to obtain access to the eLearning module and will be shipped the DSF-L2 book. The student must complete the eLearning (at their own pace) before the live-fire course (NOTE: This is an advanced course, and potential students should have a good understanding of the legal and moral implications of Concealed Carry). Course Cost: $150 ($70 deposit) Start Time 9:00 am.

Aug 29th NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting: This 10-hour course is a comprehensive introduction to shotguns and clay shooting sports for beginners. The course covers NRA's rules for safe gun handling; various shotgun models design, components, and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; and cleaning a shotgun and includes range time learning to shoot a shotgun at a moving clay target. NAFT will provide shotguns and shells for training, or you are welcome to bring your shotgun. Students will receive the NRA's Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook and NRA Certificate upon Completion. Course Fee: $150.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start time 8:30 am.

Sept 19th USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Course: This 8-hour course is for anyone considering or currently carrying a firearm for self-defense and is designed for experienced shooters. The course addresses key concepts of conflict avoidance and situational awareness, which are the foundation for developing your personal protection plan. Training covers: self-defense firearms basics, defensive shooting fundamentals, the physiology of violent encounters, the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath), holsters and other equipment, and shooting skills development. NAFT-LLC uses a combination of laser training devices in the classroom and live-fire on the gun range to teach basic and advanced shooting skills. Students receive USCCA's Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals training manual (a $29.95 value). The range activities require an Everyday Carry (EDC) firearm, your EDC holster, and 200 rounds of ammunition for your firearm. You will also need hearing protection and eye protection as well as appropriate clothing to include a concealment garment (vest, shirt, or jacket). Almost all our range drills will begin with your firearm in a holstered and concealed position. Students must pass a written open book exam and demonstrate safe firearms handing to receive a USCCA course completion certificate. Course Fee: $185 ($75 deposit). Start Time 8:30 am.

Sept 26th NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Instructor Led Training: This 8-hour course is for beginners who have not determined the type of pistol they wish to purchase. The course covers safe handling, the parts and functions of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition types and uses, shooting fundamentals, care and maintenance, and shooting skills. Guns and ammunition are furnished for this course. Students receive a Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook and an NRA Certificate upon Completion. Course Fee: $145.00 ($75.00 deposit) Start Time 8:30 am.

Oct 3rd NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course: This 8-hour class teaches beginning reloaders the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely reload metallic cartridges. The class is conducted in a classroom. Each student is taught reloading safety, centerfire cartridge components, using the reloading manual and reloading data, equipment, and the metallic cartridge reloading process. Students receive the NRA Guide to Reloading Handbook and other NRA materials and a course completion certificate upon successful completion of the student exam. Course Fee: $125 ($75.00 Deposit)

Oct 11th NRA Shotgun Instructor Certification: This 10-hour course is for NRA Instructors desiring to add Shotgun to their certifications. To attend the Shotgun Instructor Course, every candidate MUST show proof of successful completion (certificate) of the NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Student Course. To receive certification, candidates must pass a written test with a 90% success rate and demonstrate that you possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and execute safe shotgun shooting activities.
